Brush-up Beginner Saturday, August 28, 10:00 am -4:00 pm. Have you forgotten some of your basic French? Re-acquaint yourself with pronunciation, grammatical rules and vocabulary with this fast-paced Short Course. Cost: $70/$80.

12th Annual Fete du Cercle d'Or: Sunday, September 12th, 4-7 pm

"La Vie en Rose" will be hosted by David and Margarete Harvey at their beautiful lakefront home in Bayside. Guests will enjoy walks and tours of the Harvey's secluded garden estate, the masterpiece of renowned landscape architect Margarete Harvey. Guests may also take a private road down to Lake Michigan and the Harvey's sprawling beachfront nature preserve. Enjoy a great atmosphere of French cuisines, including passed hors d'oeuvres, a buffet, fresh crepes, and wine. The Alliance Francaise is pleased to feature catering by Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro, North Star American Bistro, Jean's Cakes, and Satellite Crepes.

A highlight of the evening by will be singer Leslie Fitzwater, who will perfrom signature Edith Piaf songs. Ms. Fitzwater has been singing and acting professionally for 30 years, and has performed with the Milwaukee Symphony, Racine Symphony, Florentine Opera, Skylight Opera Theatre, Present Music, Milwaukee Dance Theatre, and Milwaukee Choral Artists. Her one-woman show, Edith Piaf Onstage, sold out the Skylight Opera Theatre.
