AF trips are open to everyone; you don't have to be a member, a student, nor a French-speaker to join. We are so grateful for the wonderful friendships and adventures during these past five years!

Guadeloupe
Join us Friday, January 24th through Saturday, February 1st, 2025 for l’Alliance Française's 7th annual trip! We will be traveling to the beautiful Guadeloupe, a French archipelago in the Caribbean, and staying at the Club Med Caravelle, an all-inclusive resort on the eastern island.

- Twin islands meet at a narrow strait to form a butterfly shape.
- Lush rainforests, pristine beaches, fantastic walking and hiking trails, cascading waterfalls, and impressive dive spots.
- A unique blend of French and Caribbean influences creates rich cultural traditions and an intricate history.
- Home to great writers, diverse music, delicious food, and exciting Carnival celebrations.
- Guadeloupe is France! Like Martinique (which we visited in 2024), Guadeloupe belongs to la France d’outre mer, a diverse group of overseas French territories.
- British-French crime comedy drama television series Death in Paradise is filmed in Guadeloupe in the commune of Deshaies!

- Tour of la Grande Terre, the eastern island, focusing the cultural heritage and history of Guadeloupe.
- Monday, January 27
- Day at sea, visiting the lagoons around the island, with an opportunity for snorkeling.
- Tuesday, January 28
- Visit Marie Galante, a smaller island to the southeast of the two largest islands, nicknamed the “island of a hundred mills.”
- Wednesday, January 29
- Free day
- Thursday, January 30
- Visit the waterfalls and rainforests of Basse Terre national park on the western island.
- Friday, January 31
- Half day workshop: introduction to Gwoka music and dance.
- Saturday, February 1
- ✈ PTP → MIA → MKE

Important Policies
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.
- We are not able to offer refunds for any reason. Therefore, we recommend purchasing travel insurance within 21 days of deposit, though travel insurance is not required. See above for recommended insurance.
- All travelers must have a valid passport that expires at least six months after the return date.
- Travelers should be in good health and capable of walking or participating in scheduled activities. Please know your limits!
- Participation in any activity is not required, but no price adjustments can be made for skipped activities.
- L'Alliance Française and Travelbootik may make adjustments to the itinerary.
La Corse
Join us in May and June 2025 for l’Alliance Française's 8th annual trip! We will be traveling to La Corse, a French island in the Mediterranean Sea.
- Nicknamed “The Isle of beauty” – stunning natural landscapes, colorful jagged mountains, soft white sand beaches, lush greenery, and unique wildlife.
- 5,000 years of history – Inhabited since the Stone Age, Corsica has been part of the Roman Empire, several Italian kingdoms and Republics, and, finally, France since the 18th century. The island has its own language, and incorporates both Italian and French cultural elements.
- Excellent wines, delicious French cuisine with a distinct Corsican twist.
- The birthplace of Napoléon Bonaparte - equally famous for his military and political career as his supposed diminutive stature.
