Ready to start taking French classes but not sure where you should start?

French courses at the Alliance Française de Milwaukee are organized according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This system is widely used to evaluate and describe foreign language proficiency according to achievements in reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

B1	use strings of connected sentences and a broad range of vocabulary to talk about experiences and events, give and support opinions, etc. Present, futur proche, and past tense.
B2	express myself in a clear and detailed way on a wide range of subjects related to my life. All tenses.
C1	use language flexibly and effectively for professional and academic settings. All tenses.
C2	express myself fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations. All tenses.
